Luke Kerr Gala Day 2013

All clubs are invited to attend our Luke Kerr U8’s Gala Day. Our annual event promises to be an action-packed day full of great football and fun. For the last 8 years, 20 Teams each year, from around the association have joined in to make this gala day one of the best in the district! Places will fill up fast so to avoid disappointment RSVP early to secure your spot!!

It would be appreciated if all RSVPs of acceptance or otherwise be sent to our Secretary stephensmart.rvjfc@yahoo.com.au as soon as possible.  Should you have any other queries, please call Steve Smart on 0413594112, or email the above address.

When confirming attendance, please supply a contact phone number and email address for the respective coach of the attending team so that notification of cancellation due to wet weather or change in the draw can be done ASAP.

Upon arrival to the ground would the coach/manager of each team please register at the Officials Table near the Canteen 30 minutes before kick-off for our first game at 9:00am.

If for any reason you can’t make it on the day, please phone Steve Smart so that the draw can be adjusted for the benefit of the other teams.

The usual BBQ and canteen facilities will be in full swing!

Your participation in attending our memorial day for our former player, Luke Kerr, is valued. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Russell Vale Junior Football Club Social Night!!!!

Righty O Parents we spend every weekend running around for our kids, so to give us parents something to kick back and enjoy the RVJFC has booked a night for us all to party without the kids so book a baby sitter and come and have some fun!

Come and eat before the show at the Bowling clubs bistro, and of course bar facilities will be flowing!!

This is our fundraiser event any money raised goes back into supporting our Junior Football Club for all our kids!

PAYMENT AND NAMES SHOULD BE MADE TO YOUR TEAM MANAGER BEFORE FRIDAY 31ST JULY.  (THIS IS AN OPEN EVENT SO INVITE YOUR FRIENDS BECAUSE THE MORE THE MERRIER!!)

Team Photos Saturday 9th May – UPDATED

Despite the poor weather so far this year the club has organised for Team Photos to be taken on Saturday 9th May. This is an opportunity for parents and kids to get a memento of their year at the Cobras as well as being a fundraising exercise for the club (we get a percentage of the takings). We would normally like to take the photos before the game so that the kids aren’t dirty or hot and sweaty but the difficulty is that we have a heap of games at 08:30 and 09:30(ish) kick off times. It would be impossible to achieve so some photos will be taken after the games are played.

If it continues to rain and the games are cancelled we will advise alternative arrangements late in the week.

We have put together the envelopes for each team and will distribute them this week and on the weekend. If you don’t have one by next Monday then see your Team Manager. Inside the envelop is a copy of the packages that are available. If you are interested here is a link to a slideshow of the full package available.

We do need everyone’s help.

1/ Parents, please, please, please, get their kids to the ground on time. The schedule is tight, 10 mins per team, and late comers make it very difficult to keep things going. Some kids will need to rush off to make their game time at other grounds.

2/ Check the Team Envelope on the day for correct spelling, and preferred names. This is extremely important as the envelope is key to getting it right. There’s also lots of kids out there who go by different names to what’s on the rego sheet. Understandably this is very important to a lot of people, so please check, and then you know it will be right.

3/ There is no need to collect before photo day. Bring your money on photo day and give to the team manager. If you bring the correct money it will help.

Miniroos Information Day March 7

The annual Miniroos information Day will be held on march 7 at Cawley Park. This is an important event that all parents are expected to participate in. Final team allocations will be decided and parents will be given all the information the need to get the season underway.
