RVJFC 2012 Training gets underway

While the “official” signal to start training is usually the Parent info day (this Saturday) many teams have started their pre-season training runs. The u13s are no exception and have managed a couple of trips to Sandon Pt beach (sure beats the rain sodden grounds!!!!!) well done to everyone who have been brave enough, and keen enough, to get started so early. Looking forward to things drying up and getting underway in earnest over the next few weeks. Hello.

Grassroots Coaching Course

The club can offer you support by arranging your attendance at a Grassroots Coaching course at Balls Paddock Woonona on Sat Mar 10 between 9-12. It is a FSC initiative to get the standard of tuition of kids playing football to a minimum standard. There is no cost to you personally other than your time and you will get a great little coaching booklet that you will use throughout the season. So, if you think you are interested then please express your interest to me or Linda Armstrong. Also if you have questions about coaching please feel free to ask. In relation to all this please be aware it is FSC and RVJFC policy that every team has a coach. Unfortunately no coach, no team.

RVJFC Information Day 3rd March

Welcome back to season 2012 and we welcome our new families to RVJFC. Registration has been a great success with all our Competition teams full or near capacity. Season 2012 looks very promising.

The club is trying to be proactive this year in relation to communicating the expectations and dynamics of game day duties.
As a consequence there will be a Club Information morning for all Parents/Players on Sat Mar 3.  The Committee is attempting to be proactive so as parents are aware of ground set up requirements, ground marshalling duties/expectations and Canteen/BBQ organisation. Full canteen and BBQ facilities will be available. The Committee wants to visually and physically demonstrate the ground set up and game day workings to allow a more positive volunteering experience.
Your children are more than welcome and a few “kick arounds” might be able to be arranged if the kids and coaches are keen.

Rego Day No 2 an even “Massiverer” success

In all we have 167 kids registered to play with the club with is an increase on our numbers from last year. A really pleasing result! The Committee would like to thank all the parents who took time out to come dow to the hall and register their kids. Getting the registrations in early certainly helps the Committee form teams in time for us to process the paperwork for FSC.

Thanks to everyone who put time in at the rego day, and the kids who tagged along with us. A special thanks to Brooke Smart for the Sambos!!!!!

Keep an eye on the web site for our next key dates in getting things up and going for a successful 2012.

2012 Registration Day No 1 a Massive Success

We had a fantastic response to our first Registration Day for 2012. 96 kids have already signed up to play which is probably a world record for RVJFC in the first week. Thanks to all of the well organised parents who turned up and signed on, it makes the Committee’s job a stack easier if we get the registration in early and have a good idea of how many teams to enter into the various Competition. We are looking forward to another big day at the Russell Vale Community Hall next Saturday.
