Rego Day No 2 an even “Massiverer” success

In all we have 167 kids registered to play with the club with is an increase on our numbers from last year. A really pleasing result! The Committee would like to thank all the parents who took time out to come dow to the hall and register their kids. Getting the registrations in early certainly helps the Committee form teams in time for us to process the paperwork for FSC.

Thanks to everyone who put time in at the rego day, and the kids who tagged along with us. A special thanks to Brooke Smart for the Sambos!!!!!

Keep an eye on the web site for our next key dates in getting things up and going for a successful 2012.

2012 Registration Day No 1 a Massive Success

We had a fantastic response to our first Registration Day for 2012. 96 kids have already signed up to play which is probably a world record for RVJFC in the first week. Thanks to all of the well organised parents who turned up and signed on, it makes the Committee’s job a stack easier if we get the registration in early and have a good idea of how many teams to enter into the various Competition. We are looking forward to another big day at the Russell Vale Community Hall next Saturday.

RVJFC SOCIAL BAREFOOT BOWLING DAY.

All Russell Vale Cobra Families are invited to a Barefoot Bowling afternoon at Woonona Bowling Club, on Sunday March 25^th at 4pm.

Come and meet everyone for a game of bowls, there will be a coach to show us the ropes have a few drinks and laughs with the option to use the BBQ facilities (bring your own food) or eat at the clubs Chinese Bistro.

Cost is $10 for non-member of Woonona Bowling Club you get coaching and game plus a drink ticket

Members of Woonona Bowling Club cost is $7 you get your drink ticket, game & coaching.

Kids 9-12 bowl for free, Kids over 12 are the same prices as above.

Kids under 9 are unable to bowl (due to the clubs insurances) but there will be mini soccer games or cricket or they can just hang with their mates and have some fun.

RSVP by March 21^st so we know numbers for greens & gear

Term 1 FNSW HPU Academy starts 30th Jan

The FNSW Academy programs have started today, 30th Jan. Sessions are being run on Monday and Wednesday nights at Bulli Junior’s home ground at Bulli Beach. Attached is the Christmas Newsletter that I have. There is a price increase this year as per the note. If you attended the Academy last year and sign up and pay this week then you get a discount and pay the same rate as past year.

Congratulations on choosing Russell Vale Junior Football Club as your club for 2012!!

On behalf of the Committee, we would like to welcome you to the Club for players who may be wearing the emerald green and white for the first time and also to returning players in what will be a big year for the Cobras!! The last few years have been very successful both on and off the field for RVJFC. Our hard working Committee and parent helpers have delivered some wonderful initiatives during this time to make the soccer season an enjoyable one for players and parents alike and we are looking forward to continuing the trend this year!!

A good Committee will only function effectively with the support and assistance of other parents helpers. This is where you as a parent can make a contribution and ensure a successful and enjoyable year for everyone involved in the Club. With that in mind, feedback we have received over the years has been a lack of training and communication in duties that need to be undertaken on game day. The Committee has taken this on board and have organised Team Information Sessions on the following days:

Under 11s to Under 18’s Coach/ Manager/Parent Information session- Saturday 3rd March 2012.

Under 6s to Under 10’s Coach/ Manager/ Parent Information session- Saturday 3rd March 2012.

Session will cover Player/ Parent codes of conduct plus responsibilities and duties of canteen, ground duty, ground marshall etc. Times for each Team will be sent out at conclusion of registration (after 11^th February) and each Team/ Age group will be allocated 30MINS.

ATTENDANCE AT THESE SESSIONS WILL BE VITAL TO ENSURING THE SMOOTH RUNNING OF THE CLUB THIS YEAR!!!

Other Club activities we have planned this year to mark on the calendar are as follows:

RVJFC Barefoot Bowls Mk II at Woonona Bowling Club- Sunday March 25th 2012.

Round 1 - April 13- 15th 2012 (Easter is April 6-9)
RVJFC Team Photos- Saturday 12th May 2012. Times will be allocated closer to the date.

RVJFC Luke Kerr Under 8 Gala Day at Cawley Park- Sunday 6th May 2012
RVJFC Trivia Night at Woonona Bowling Club- Saturday 23rd June 2012.
RVJFC Presentation Day- Sunday 21st October 2012. WBRSL Auditorium.

In addition to these dates we also have our Monthly RVJFC Committee Meetings- (which are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month).These meetings are held at WBRSL at 7pm and we ask that each Team has at least 1 representative in attendance. Details will be sent prior to Meetings and all details and other relevant club info can be found on our website at rvjfc.com.au

Once again, congratulations on selecting RVJFC as your football club and we are all looking forward to an enjoyable year ahead for players, parent and supporters alike!!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Season 2012 is about to get into full swing. Our first commitment is Tuesday 31st January at 7pm at Woonona Bulli RSL Club for a 7pm start.

* Professional coaching. This has been one of the real success stories over the last few years and I would like to lock this in as early in the year as possible so we get the benefits out of it for the whole year.

* Coaching courses follow up for our coaches. Once details are confirmed with FSC I would like to get info out to parents asap so that they are given every opportunity to participate in them.

2012 LATE Registration Information

RVJFC 2012 Season LATE REGISTRATIONS

The Official Registration Days are over but we are still have vacancies in some age groups

U6 and U7 3 players

U11 up to 2 players

In all other age groups the teams are full, or we don’t have teams formed.

How much: $50 for U6 and U7, $90 for U8 to U18 (family discounts available)

What to bring: New regos need to bring a copy of a birth certificate or other ID. All children need to come to the hall so we can re-take everyone’s photos.

What you get: Shorts and socks for new registrations; Insurance; 18 weeks of Football; End of season trophy and Presentation Day activities.

What else: We will also have caps, Beanies, Drink Bottles, Socks and Shorts for sale.

To speed up the registration process we have attached all of the relevant registration paperwork to this post. Simply print them out, and follow the instructions below. This should make everything run more efficiently on Saturday. Remember, the kids will be required to come down to have their photos taken. We have a new registration system this year, so everyone will need their photos taken.

Fill in the detail on page 1 of the rego form as best you can, don’t worry about the FFA number as we’ll have that on file. We’ll use the e-mail address you provide on this form to send out communications, please print clearly!

You must read and understand the FNSW and FSC Codes of conduct. This explains how you, and the players, and coaches and managers, are expected to behave when attending games and training. You will be asked to sign a declaration to show that you agree to these terms.

We have this great web site that we like to use to keep people informed on what’s happening around our club. Occasionally (and hopefully more often this year) people send in photos of the kids and we like t post them with their stories. To do this we would like your approval. On the declaration form below let us know if you approve of this, or not.

The Committee put a lot of effort into running the administration of the club, to allow all the kids to enjoy football. It’s not the job of the Committee to be staffing the Canteen, or being the Ground Marshals each week. We need parents to help out. We will be running a roster where each team is allocated the ground duties for the whole morning. It means each team (or age group for SSGs) effectively runs the ground for two, or maybe three, mornings over the whole season. It’s a system that’s worked pretty well in the past. By signing the declaration you are agreeing to help out with ground duties when your team is required to help out.

RVJFC Declaration

We will only apply to host Friday night games (U12 to U18) if the whole team agrees to provide adequate Ground Control and staffing for the Canteen. This will mean a minimum of four (4) parents from the team helping throughout the night, including ground setup. If parents fail to turn up to attend then we will cancel Friday night games for he remainder of the year. The Team Manager will be expected to collect these forms and submit them to the Committee on behalf of the team.
