If our match against them at Cawley Park was anything to go by the return game away to Unanderra was always going to be close, plus they still had the play offs in their sights.
Sunday saw the Russell Vale VIPERS go up against Oak Flats at the Cawley Park Cauldron
The Cauldron was chopped up after a big weekend of football, giving the Vipers a task to stay upright and making the ball read hard to judge.

On Saturday 21st July RVJFC held their inaugural Trivia Night at Woonona Bowling Club. Over 100 of our closest friends turned up for a great night of laughs. The fancy dress theme for the night was R or V. There was a cross section from across the club represented with a great showing from our U6’s and 7’s. It’s so pleasing to have the club spirit already showing in the younger age groups. The RV Mens and Vipers also had a few tables between them. Thanks so much for all of your support.
Thanks to those who organised and ran the night, especially Madeline Holiday who put together the questions and the Table Tasks.
Some of the winners on the night were:
Best Dressed Table:
Best Dressed Male:
Best Dressed Female:
Trivia Night Overall Winner:
Here’s a few of the snap shots taken on the night. if you have any photos you’d like added then please send them through to webdude@rvjfc.com.au

Russell Vale VIPERS Match Report
Round 14, Sunday 22nd July 2012
Sunday saw the Russell Vale VIPERS go up against Tarrawanna at Tarrawanna
Wet soggy conditions greeted the Vipers on a lunchtime hit up against the seasoned Tarrawanna side. Linda had the ref’s confused by the stack hat that was worn during warm-up as a bit of a joke regarding the header she did from last week’s game but quickly pointed out to them that she wouldn’t be wearing it during the game, ( she’s a good sport letting us all have a chuckle at her ! )
With the return of Riley Hanlon, Baxter Bowler Prentice and Ethan Lanarch to the side we had a full strength squad to face Kiama. Before the game I explained to the players about “good & bad”, “winners & losers”. As a mark of respect to Kiama for knocking us out of the Plate at the semi-final stage and going on to win the trophy the players lined up on the halfway line and applauded their opponents prior to kick off.
