RVJFC Trip to watch Sydney FC

Last year the U9’s started up something that we hope becomes an annual event. A club trip to see Sydney FC’s home match. This year it will be on Saturday October 15 v Brisbane Roar (defending champions). The game kicks off at 7:45pm.
The plan would be to meet at Cawley park with a bus to take us at about 4:30pm to the Sydney Football Stadium. We would return at about midnight.
The cost of the trip would be adult $35 and child $25. This would need to be forwarded to me by or at our Comp team presentation evening Friday 23rd September.
We had an absolute ball last time so the club has decided to open it up to all our members and their supporters who might be interested in coming along to enjoy some football and socialise with RVJFC members.
Interest and money prior to this date is also welcome. You can call me on 0413 594112 to arrange for the money to be forwarded to me.
Hope to be hearing from heaps of you.

Secretary RVJFC

Rd18 Matches Aug12-14 and Ground Status

With another bout of wet weather the grounds are under pressure. It would seem that some grounds are going to be open over the weekend while some will be closed. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT EVERYONE CHECKS THE FOOTBALL SOUTH COAST JUNIORS WEBSITE RE GROUND STATUS. You can access this web page through the following link http://www.footballsouthcoast.com/competitions/juniors/

UPDATE: U8s at Bulli are CANCELLED.

Round 18 – Last, Last Lucky Last (for some….)

The draw page has been updated for round 18.

U6’s will have ground duty, but they will be the only age group at home.

Good luck to all Comp teams that are vying for some Semi final action!

Looks like I made a typo on the U12G game. The FSC web site has kick off at 11:20, not 12:40. my apologies. I have updated the draw page.

Rd 16 U14.2G v Figtree

Contender for match report of the year……

The girls came away from Figtree on Sunday morning with a well deserved 3-2 win. The goals that were scored were all quality and it was a wonderful all round Team performance.
The great thing to come out of Sundays game was the confidence and belief everyone had in their Team mates performance. Everyone stuck to their jobs and also supported and backed up Team mates where need be. Whilst the score line read 3-2 it flattered our opponents to some degree as we had the better of both halves and only kept them in the game with a couple of lapses in concentration. Hannah started the goal scoring spree with a cracker of a shot from just inside the 18 yard box and had their not been a net could of well ended up in a neighbouring suburb! At that point in time, I thought I had seen what would be hard to beat as our goal of the year. This was Hannah’s first goal in comp soccer and it was a special one to remember!
