Success for our players in Summer Futsal Competitions

Most of the players from our triumphant U11 Team last year played in two Fustal Teams ove rthe Summer Break at the Fraternity Club in Fairy Meadow. They were affectionately known as the “Russell Vale Cobras” and the “Vale Vipers”. Both teams were very competitive through the comp games with the Cobras finishing 2nd and the Vipers 4th. The cobras defeated the Evil Pinapples in the play to make it through to the grand final while the Vipers were unlucky not to topple the 1st place, representative studded, Futsal Fellas. This pitched the CObras against the undefeated Futsal Fellas in the Grand Final, and the Vipers played the Evil Pinapples in a playoff for 3rd.

Sam Miranda put away an excellent goal in the dying seconds of the Grand Final to take away a well earnt Grand Final Victory. Fittingly the Vipers also prevailed in the 3rd place playoff.

Well done to the Cobras, Sam Miranda, Thomas & Jacob Kentta, Braeden Kludass, Reuben Muharem, Matty Dignam and their mate from school.

The Vipers were Sam Luyten,  Dean Baker, Mark McGivern, Wilson Owen & Jasmin Wilson

RVJFC Players selected in PSSA Zone Squad

Four current RVJFC players have been selected to represent the Northern Zone at the PSSA regional trials. Sam Luyten, Dean Baker, Jasmin Wilson and Hayley Waller all made the squad. The other two players from Russell Vale Public School who were selected in the squads, Alexei Rosser and Jaqueline Holliday, are former players with RVJFC. We wish them all the best in their efforts to make the regional side.
